For nine generations the creation of fine jewelry has been a Zadok family way of life. Joseph Zadok, the seventh generation of goldsmiths, came to Israel in 1949 from Yemen where he was the personal goldsmith to the Royal Family. His royal duties required, in addition to creating jewelry for the king of Yemen and his family, the minting of the coin of the kingdom. In Yemen, Joseph and sons were experts in handmade gold and silver jewelry. In Israel they expanded on their expertise by creating and producing religious items decorated with handmade filigree in the traditional Yemenite manner. More recently, in keeping with the spirit of the times, modern jewelry and artistic motifs have been developed by Joseph’s grandchildren. The ninth generation continues to devise new techniques and processes, while at the same time maintaining the quality for which the family is famous. Truly in these days, the Zadok name represents as in ancient times, the Quality of Kings.
